Gun Violence Awareness

Drop The Guns Pick Up A Ball gun violence event is going on its 4th year. It’s designed to help our youth stay out the streets and get involved in sports. Our annual event brings out 12+ Celebrities to play in a celebrity game as well as speak to the children. They become role models for the day in hopes to reform, redirect and influence them to follow in their foot steps.

Black LGBTQIA+ PRIDES

Beginning in 1991, with DC Black Pride, the Black Gay Pride movement began as a way to provide Black LGBTQ+ people an alternative to the largely caucasian mainstream LGBTQ+ movement.

A Call To Action

With our community partners we collect food, clothes and other resources that we give away to anybody that needs them. Sometimes we get donations from our “Love Thy Neighbor” monthly events, in which we go out and give toiletries to the less fortunate.

Aids Awareness AHF

I’ve been a Aids Advocate for Aids Healthcare Las Vegas. I’ve helped my community get tested and know their statuses by incorporating on site aids testing and informational booths during my 3 day festival. When I saw that there was a need for more tests and resources we started a aids campaign. A few months before pride would would give away free access tickets to pride for the first 10-30 people that went to get tested before pride. It was a success. We reached all our goals even during the start of the pandemic. Now that the world is back open Black Pride Vegas hopes to work with AHF and other corporations that do on site testing so that we can continue to fight against aids and soon help put a end to the HIV-Pandemic. - Founder Johanna P. We Are The Connect

For the Last 4 years Black Pride Vegas has made it our business to go on tour before pride to meet as many black owned businesses we can and highlight them on our platforms in hopes to help them gain exposure and clientele. If we learn to uplift others in return we will all elevate.
